Your questions about private gynaecology care

Do I need a referral to see a gynaecologist at Spire?
No, you can self-refer and book directly with us. If you have private medical insurance, check with your insurance provider whether they require a GP referral.

How much does a private gynaecology appointment cost?
An initial consultation typically costs from £200, with diagnostics and treatment priced separately. Each consultant sets their own consultation fees so please check before making the appointment.

How quickly can I be seen?
We aim to offer appointments within a few days, depending on consultant availability.  Some hospitals or clinic may offer same-day consultations or investigations.

Can I access hormone replacement therapy (HRT) privately?
Yes - many of our consultants and GP's can offer a full HRT review, including personalised prescriptions and advice tailored to your lifestyle and health needs.

Is private gynaecology care right for me?
If you’re experiencing ongoing symptoms or would simply like peace of mind, private gynaecology care can help you feel more in control of your health and wellbeing.
