Women's and men's pelvic health

We can help evaluate and treat conditions related to pelvic health

Our pelvic health specialist, Karen Macleod, has many years of expertise in this specialist field and would be happy to assess both women and men’s pelvic health problems to plan a bespoke treatment package.

Pelvic health issues can appear at any age and significantly affect the quality of life. These conditions can affect your confidence and other areas of your personal life. Physiotherapy can be successful in identifying the cause of the problem and guiding appropriate treatment.

Women's pelvic health

Women's health physiotherapy is the therapeutic treatment of all disorders affecting the pelvis and pelvic floor. From incontinence to prolapse, pelvic pain or constipation, there is growing evidence that physiotherapy can alleviate, and in many cases cure these symptoms.

Men's pelvic health

Male pelvic health physiotherapy is a specialist branch of physiotherapy that deals with male pelvic pain and pelvic organ dysfunction.

Research shows that it takes an average of 7 years for a man to discuss his issues with a GP but, as awareness of this service is increasing, many men who had previously given up hope have experienced life-changing improvements.
