Visiting information

  • Inpatient: Visitors are welcome any time up until 8.30pm. But we politely ask that you restrict the numbers of visitors and that visitors leave the room while Consultants or Nurses undertake any patient care
  • Day case procedures: For all day case admissions (going home the same day) patients may bring someone with them should they wish
  • Children and young persons: All children and young people staying with us may have both parents / guardians accompany them for their admission
  • Critical Care: Visitors for patients who are in Critical Care are required to carry out a lateral flow test (LFT) for COVID-19 and report the result to GOV.UK prior to arrival

We kindly ask if any visitors have any symptoms such as a new cough or active symptoms similar to a cold virus. You do not come to the hospital to protect your loved one or friend during their time of recovery.

Accessibility

At Spire Southampton Hospital we strive to recognise and support the needs of every individual. Our hospital is accessible to everybody – patients and their visitors – and we provide patient information in a variety of formats, including large print and audio versions.

If you’d like to speak to someone about your needs, you can call us on 023 8077 5544 or complete the enquiry form below.

Spire is dedicated to looking after you for your care and treatment, and will therefore carefully assess you to ensure that we can provide the level of care that you need. In the unlikely event that your health needs change and are more than anticipated, we may arrange to transfer your care to another hospital, usually the NHS. We would only transfer your care if this was absolutely necessary for your wellbeing and care requirements.
