Visiting and COVID-19

Due to changes to local COVID-19 cases, Spire Southampton Hospital is updating its visitor policy.

  • Inpatient: Our visiting hours are between 2pm and 5pm daily, numbers of visitors at any time are restricted
  •  Day case procedures: For all day case admissions (going home the same day) patients may bring someone with them should they wish. Where possible, we politely request you adhere to the visiting hours of 2pm - 5pm if applicable
  • Children and young persons: All children and young people staying with us may have both parents / guardians accompany them for their admission
  • Critical Care: Visitors for patients who are in Critical Care are required to carry out a lateral flow test (LFT) for COVID-19 and report the result to GOV.UK prior to arrival

This is a local change in policy, and will differ to the group-wide visitor policy. We'll continue to assess the situation and will update our visitor policy accordingly.
