Hand, or manual, therapy plays a crucial role in the recovery from hand or wrist injury including post-surgery.
Hand therapy is the management of hand disorders and injuries using physical methods such as exercise, splinting and wound care. Hand therapists also treat other upper limb disorders that affect how the hand works.
Hand therapy at Perform includes retraining, splinting, and advice on everyday hand functions and physiotherapy (joint mobilisation, stretching, active and resisted exercises, and ultrasound scan).
Our specialists are able to devise bespoke exercise programs and static hand splints for a wide range of conditions.
A 10 minute taxi ride from Southampton Central train station or 15 minutes from Southampton International Airport, we provide private hospital treatments, procedures, tests and scans to patients from Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, the Isle of Wight, the south coast of England and the Channel Islands.
Spire Southampton Hospital is only able to provide Covid-19 tests to patients undergoing surgery at our hospital. Covid-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service.
