Visa medical services - Australia at Spire Cardiff Hospital

A medical examination if you're planning to live permanently in Australia.

We're approved by the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Border Protection to provide visa medical and radiological (X-ray) examinations for people planning to visit or live in Australia. Visa medicals, X-rays and blood tests can all be arranged and performed at the same appointment.

All our centres are eMedical clinics, which means we can process your health examination online and provide a quicker visa turn-around than traditionally-handled paper copies.

Why you might need it

You will generally need to have a medical examination if you're planning to live permanently in Australia.

You may need to have a health assessment if you're applying for a temporary visa. This is dependent on certain criteria including the type of visa you want, the amount of time you're planning to stay in Australia, your intended activities during your stay, and if you have 'significant' medical conditions.

The Australian Government has a list of approved physicians who can carry out the visa medical assessments. We have approved doctors at selected Spire hospitals.
