I had my spinal fusion (l5-s1) in November. Prior to surgery, I was experiencing severe sciatica symptoms down both legs which I had been suffering from due to spondylolisthesis. The pain prior to the operation was unbearable, I couldn't walk far, drive or work.
Mr Annis was very clear about what the surgery involved and investigated my condition thoroughly before suggesting surgery would be the best option.
The recovery after the operation was not as bad as I expected. I was off all pain relief within two weeks. Nine weeks later I am about to return back to work, I can drive and look after my 3 young children without help.
