Specialises in
After training posts in General Medicine, I further specialised in Respiratory and General Medicine as a Registrar in Merseyside.
I work closely with and can refer patients to Respiratory consultants who provide areas of expertise in respiratory intervention such as bronchoscopy and EBUS, Lung cancer, respiratory problems in sports medicine, respiratory function assessment in athletes and high-performance sports people.
In addition to my routine clinical training, I spent two years as a Clinical and Research Fellow at the prestigious Adult CF Unit at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, which is among the largest CF units in the country. During this time, I carried out research into Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes, and completed my MD thesis through the University of Liverpool.
Following completion of my training, I worked as a Consultant in CF, Respiratory and General medicine at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Trust, one of the largest NHS Trusts in the South-West of England, prior to relocating back to Merseyside.
My NHS Practice as a Respiratory Consultant is at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, and I am an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in the Institute of Infection and Global Health at the University of Liverpool.
I have led and completed several research studies leading to substantial publications and changes in clinical practice. I have published several articles in the areas of CF and non-CF bronchiectasis. These publications have been published in a wide variety of high-quality peer review journals.
