Spire Harrogate Clinic rated ‘Good’ across all areas in CQC assessment

23 October 2026

Spire Harrogate Clinic has been rated ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following an assessment carried out on 28 July 2026.

The clinic received ‘Good’ ratings across all five key areas assessed by the CQC: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. The assessment covered the clinic's diagnostic and screening services and outpatient services

The inspectors found that Spire Harrogate Clinic had effective systems and processes in place to support the delivery of safe and person-centred care. The clinic benefited from access to specialist support through the wider Spire Healthcare network.

The evidence gathered during the assessment demonstrated that the service was meeting the needs of people using it and that leaders had oversight of quality and performance.

Staff were consistently described as "really friendly and helpful," reflecting the positive relationships observed between staff and people using the service.

In outpatients, patients described their experiences as “perfect” and said they "can’t fault a thing”.

In diagnostics, patients described their experiences as "smooth" and said "it had been great."

Tim Cook, General Manager, Spire Harrogate Clinic, said:

“This ‘Good’ CQC report and especially the consistently positive feedback from patients is testament to the dedication of the whole clinic team to delivering high-quality care.”
