Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital rated ‘Good’ across all areas in CQC assessment

Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital has been rated ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following a comprehensive assessment carried out on 11 February 2026.

The hospital received ‘Good’ ratings across all five key areas assessed by the CQC: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. The assessment covered surgery, diagnostic imaging and outpatient services, with all three services rated ‘Good’.

Inspectors reported high quality care and treatment with patients treated with kindness and compassion. Feedback was positive and patients spoke highly of the care they had received. 

Leaders had sound oversight of the quality of service being delivered through effective governance and risk management systems. The service had a good learning culture and staff and patients could raise concerns.
