MBBS, PhD, FRCP
I have been a Consultant Neurologist since 2007 and provide a busy general neurology service in Macclesfield. Alongside this, I jointly lead the Greater Manchester Parkinson’s disease and Movement Disorder service at Salford Royal. I am also the lead Neurologist for the Greater Manchester Deep Brain Stimulation programme.
I see patients with a wide range of neurological conditions and understand how worrying symptoms such as dizziness, blackouts, headaches or changes in movement can be. I aim to provide clear explanations, thorough assessments and personalised care to help patients better understand their condition and treatment options.
My main clinical and research interests are Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders. I lead several UK-wide research studies in Parkinson’s disease and remain actively involved in advancing understanding and treatment in this field.
As part of my general neurology practice, I also specialise in the assessment and management of headaches, epilepsy, stroke, blackouts and dizziness. I work closely with patients to create treatment plans that are tailored to their individual needs and circumstances.
I have published extensively in the field of Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders and act as an editorial reviewer for several specialist journals in these areas.
