I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in knee and hip surgery, helping patients reduce pain, stay active and return to the activities that matter most to them.

My practice focuses on knee preservation, sports injuries, cartilage repair, early arthritis treatment and knee replacement surgery, alongside hip replacement surgery for patients with hip arthritis and joint pain.

I provide personalised treatment plans tailored to each patient, combining the latest evidence-based techniques with a patient-centred approach.

I treat a wide range of conditions including knee arthritis, hip arthritis, sports knee injuries, cartilage damage, meniscus tears, ligament injuries, including ACL rupture and joint pain and reduced mobility.

I offer specialist treatments including partial and total knee replacement, bespoke and advanced knee replacement surgery, cartilage repair and cartilage transplant procedures, meniscus surgery, ligament reconstruction, knee injections and joint preservation treatments, osteotomy and realignment surgery, regenerative and cell-based therapies and hip replacement surgery.

As Co-Director of the Regional Joint Preservation Service, I have particular expertise in cartilage repair, regenerative treatments and joint preservation techniques designed to delay or prevent arthritis progression and support long-term joint health.

I offer both face-to-face and virtual consultations and am committed to delivering the highest standard of evidence-based orthopaedic care using the latest research-backed treatments and surgical techniques.

I completed my Orthopaedic training in London, followed by advanced fellowships in knee and hip surgery in both Sydney and London. I have held senior academic and clinical leadership roles, including Academic Head of the Department of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in Manchester, and previously worked as a Consultant Surgeon and Clinician Scientist in Edinburgh.

I am internationally recognised for my work in cartilage repair and joint preservation, with over 100 scientific publications and contributions to major orthopaedic textbooks, including Gray’s Anatomy.

My qualifications include BSc (Hons), MBBS, AFRCSEd, FRCSEd (Tr&Orth), MSRes and MFSTEd. I am actively involved in leading professional organisations and research collaborations that contribute to the advancement of orthopaedic surgery in the UK and internationally.
