I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon, specialising in conditions affecting the retina and back of the eye.

I see patients with a wide range of eye conditions, including diabetic eye disease, macular problems and retinal vascular conditions such as vein occlusions. I also manage inflammatory eye conditions like uveitis, as well as performing specialist retinal procedures, helping to diagnose and treat issues that can affect vision.

I work at St Paul’s Eye Unit in Liverpool, where I am also involved in clinical research. This gives patients access to the latest treatments through local, national and international clinical trials when appropriate.

In addition to my clinical work, I hold a number of national roles in ophthalmology and am actively involved in teaching, training and guideline development. I also contribute to research and innovation in eye care, supporting advances in new treatments and technologies.

I understand how worrying changes in vision can be, so I take time to explain diagnoses clearly and guide patients through their treatment options, ensuring they feel informed and reassured throughout their care.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and maintaining a balanced lifestyle.
