Virtual consultations:
I’m a consultant general surgeon specialising in gallbladder, hernia and weight loss surgery, with a particular focus on minimally invasive (laparoscopic) techniques to support faster recovery and better outcomes.
I see patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions and understand that surgery can feel like a big step. My approach is to take the time to explain everything clearly, answer any questions, and help you feel confident about your treatment plan.
Alongside my clinical work, I’m actively involved in research and education. I lead research in upper gastrointestinal surgery and have published extensively in leading surgical journals. I’m also passionate about training the next generation of surgeons, working as a surgical tutor and contributing to national education and training programmes.
I’ve been recognised for both my clinical and academic work, including receiving national and international awards and a Visiting Professorship from the University of Chester.
I’m committed to high standards of patient care, safety and continuous improvement, and I have additional roles in clinical governance and surgical training at a local and national level.
