Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon

MBBS, FRCOphth

Specialises in

  • Cornea surgery
  • Cataract surgery
  • Yag Laser
  • Corneal and external eye disease
  • Dry eye management

I am a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Spire Murrayfield Hospital Wirral and Spire Abergele Clinic, with over 15 years’ experience caring for patients with a wide range of eye conditions.

I specialise in cataract surgery, including both routine and complex cases, and take a personalised approach to help patients achieve the best possible visual outcome. This includes offering tailored options such as monovision and multifocal lens implants where appropriate. I also have a particular interest in corneal and anterior segment conditions, performing procedures such as corneal transplantation and pterygium surgery.

Alongside this, I treat common eye conditions including blepharitis, complex dry eye and minor eyelid lumps, using both medical and surgical approaches. My aim is always to provide clear guidance and supportive care, so patients feel confident and well-informed throughout their treatment.

I am the Cornea and Anterior Segment Lead at Wirral University Teaching Hospital and also support the training of future ophthalmologists as a clinical supervisor, reflecting my commitment to high standards of care.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the gym and visiting the cinema. I also love cooking, particularly preparing Caribbean dishes inspired by my upbringing in Trinidad.
