Mrs Milka Zhelyazkova

Specialist Physiotherapist

MCSP

I am a specialist women’s health physiotherapist seeing patients at Spire, offering personalised care for women at different stages of life. My aim is to provide supportive, practical treatment that helps women feel confident, comfortable and well in their bodies.

I work with women experiencing menopausal symptoms, pelvic pain, bladder and bowel concerns, and musculoskeletal pain related to pregnancy, postnatal recovery and everyday life. I also support women with incontinence and core or pelvic floor issues, helping them return safely to exercise and normal activity.

Alongside hands‑on physiotherapy, I offer specialist assessments following childbirth through postnatal health checks, supporting recovery after both vaginal and caesarean deliveries. This includes tailored advice and treatment to rebuild strength, improve pelvic health and prevent longer‑term problems.

My approach combines physiotherapy, education and exercise, with treatment plans designed around each individual. I also use acupuncture where appropriate to support symptoms such as pelvic pain, period pain, hot flushes and low back or pelvic girdle pain, as well as Pilates‑based rehabilitation for antenatal, postnatal and menopause‑related care.

I qualified as a physiotherapist in 1998 and completed postgraduate training in women’s health, bringing many years of experience to my work at Spire. I am passionate about prevention, recovery and supporting women to stay active, strong and well throughout life.
