I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and also at the James Paget University Hospital. I specialise in small incision cataract surgery, oculoplastic and lacrimal surgery. I also perform cosmetic surgery, fine line and anti-wrinkle treatments.
I am an examiner for the University of East Anglia Medical School and for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists where I am part of the diploma exam question setting committee. I am also an Ophthalmology tutor and a consultant Appraiser and medical student adviser.
I am a founding member of the British Oculopastics Surgeons Society (BOPSS). Also, I'm a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and the Royal Society of Medicine.
I trained at Sheffield Medical School and worked for 10 years at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, where I gained a thorough grounding in ophthalmology and some subspecialty training in oculoplastic and lacrimal surgery. My research MD in ocular wound healing was completed at the Institute of Ophthalmology in London, whilst working at Moorfields. In Perth, Western Australia I gained international subspecialty training in oculoplastic surgery and developed further my skills in reconstructive surgery.

I was lured to live and work in East Anglia where I have become integrated into Norfolk life having married the son of Norfolk farmer! I have one daughter and two step children. I am a keen amateur musician and play the violin in a local quartet and I also play the piano. I am a trustee of the Anteros Arts Foundation, a charity teaching art based in Norfolk. I enjoy sailing when I can, canoeing and walking. I keep chickens and guinea fowl, which make a useful burglar alarm!
