Mr Ziad Estephan
I am an experienced ophthalmologist with 20 years of post-training experience in ophthalmology, including 15 years in the UK.
I have excellent skills in complex cataract surgery with a few thousand documented and continuously audited cases. The results of a recent audit of my toric intraocular lenses to correct astigmatism were comparable to the results of large eye hospitals in the UK.
In my recent appraisal, the audit of intra-vitreal injections and laser procedures, showed that the complication rate was 0%.
In addition, I have excellent skills and knowledge of medical retina, general ophthalmology and laser procedures. My general ophthalmology experience is very wide and that includes acute eye diseases, non-surgical glaucoma and neuro-ophthalmology.
I am a permanent consultant at Calderdale and Huddersfield Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
In the UK, I worked at University Hospitals Aintree NHS Foundation Trust (Liverpool), Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trusts and since September 2013, I have been working at Calderdale and Huddersfield hospitals NHS Foundation Trusts.
