I have been a Consultant Ophthalmic and Vitreo-retinal Surgeon at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in 2003. I was Clinical Director of the Ophthalmology Department in 2012-2015.

I graduated from Aberbeen University Medical School in 1992 and then spent seven years in specialist surgical training at the world famous Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. I also had further subspecialist training in retinal and macular diseases. I have extensive experience in routine and complex retinal and cataract surgery.

In addition to a busy clinical practice, I am also actively involved in innovative research, training ophthalmologists and auditing surgical results.
