I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee conditions, with extensive experience helping patients manage pain, improve mobility and return to their everyday activities.
I treat a wide range of concerns, including arthritis, joint pain and sports-related injuries affecting the hip and knee. I offer both non-surgical treatments, such as joint injections and rehabilitation advice, and surgical options where needed, including hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement and revision (re-do) surgery.
I also have a particular interest in hip problems affecting younger patients and in joint-preserving procedures, helping where possible to delay or avoid joint replacement. In addition, I perform hip and knee arthroscopy to treat conditions such as impingement and cartilage damage.
I trained in the Mersey region and have undertaken further specialist fellowship training at leading orthopaedic centres, developing advanced skills in hip and knee surgery. I have been working as a consultant since 2008 and hold a leadership role within a specialist hip unit, contributing to improvements in patient care and recovery pathways.
I have significant experience in complex cases, including revision hip surgery, and have contributed to research and national and international presentations within orthopaedics.
I understand how limiting hip and knee problems can be, so I focus on providing clear advice and tailored treatment options to support recovery.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and spending time with my family.
