I am a Consultant General Surgeon at Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust.
I specialise in using keyhole or laparoscopic surgery to treat conditions of the abdomen and abdominal wall. I treat conditions such as gallstones, acid reflux, skin lesions and lumps, pilonidal sinus and all types of abdominal wall hernia. I focus on minimally invasive surgery and same day surgical care to minimise the disruption and stress of surgery. I see patients for anti-reflux surgery, excision of skin lesions (lipoma, sebaceous cyst), hernia surgery (epigastric, incisional, inguinal, umbilical, ventral), laparoscopic/keyhole hernia repair, mole, cyst, wart and skin tag removal, pilonidal sinus surgery and scar revision.
I have been qualified for 16 years, and have specialised in laparoscopic or keyhole surgery of the abdomen. I started my surgical training in North West Thames, completing a PhD at Imperial College studying innovations in surgical techniques and laparoscopic technical skills. I completed my surgical training in South West Thames, before being appointed as a consultant general surgeon at Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust. I am the clinical lead for the Surgical Ambulatory Care Unit and am passionate about surgical education and training the surgeons of tomorrow.
