I am a consultant hand and peripheral nerve surgeon with extensive experience in diagnosing and treating bone and soft tissue issues of the hand and wrist, as well as disorders of the peripheral nervous system.

In my peripheral nerve surgery practice, I specialise in a variety of conditions, including brachial plexus injury, thoracic outlet syndrome, carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel surgery (including revision procedures for failed surgery), nerve pain and neuroma, upper and lower limb nerve injury, nerve tumours, tetraplegia, and spasticity following stroke or brain injury. I am also interested in the treatment of nerve injuries that may result from medical or surgical treatment, known as iatrogenic nerve injury.

My training includes surgical training in London and Birmingham, followed by fellowship training in hand surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, and microsurgery in the UK, France, USA, Switzerland, Thailand, and Taiwan. I have been honoured with fellowships from the BOA, FESSH, BSSH, and the Countess Dowager Trust, and I am a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand.

Currently, I work at the department for hand and peripheral nerve surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, which is one of Europe's largest specialist centres. My work here involves treating high numbers of trauma and military cases that require complex limb reconstruction and peripheral nerve injury management. Additionally, I sit on the Birmingham Peripheral Nerve MDT, where I provide second opinions for other surgeons and discuss complex peripheral nerve surgical problems with colleagues.

As the hand surgery teaching lead for the Birmingham Orthopaedic training programme, I also serve as a tutor for the British Diploma in Hand Surgery. I am an editor of Orthoracle.com, an international training platform for trainee surgeons, and an honorary lecturer for the University of Aston Medical School. At the University of Birmingham, I am a research supervisor.

I look forward to using my skills and knowledge to help diagnose and treat your hand and peripheral nerve issues.
