I am an experienced Consultant in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Urogynaecology, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor disorders, urinary incontinence and bladder problems in women. I am committed to delivering personalised care and achieving the best possible outcomes for my patients.

I have worked within the NHS since 2004 and was appointed as a substantive Consultant in 2014. I provide specialist care for women with pelvic floor disorders, urinary incontinence and bladder problems, alongside comprehensive general gynaecological care. I am known for a compassionate, patient‑centred approach and have been privileged to receive excellent feedback from both patients and colleagues.

I currently serve as Vice President for Workforce at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London. I am also the Clinical Director for the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department in Wrexham, where I play a key leadership role in developing services and improving patient care.

I am an active educator and mentor for doctors in training and have been recognised for excellence in medical education, receiving both the National Trainer of the Year Award and the Welsh Trainer of the Year Award. In recognition of my wider contributions to women’s health and leadership within the NHS, I received the National Impact Award in 2025.

In urogynaecology, I manage a wide range of pelvic floor and bladder conditions, including – bladder pain syndrome, bladder prolapse (cystocele), overactive bladder, pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, posterior vaginal wall prolapse (rectocele), recurrent urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence, uterine prolapse and vaginal vault prolapse.

Within general gynaecology, I treat conditions such as – abnormal uterine bleeding, contraceptive counselling and procedures, endometrial polyps, fibroids, menopause and perimenopause concerns, menstrual disorders (including heavy, irregular or painful periods), ovarian cysts, pelvic pain and postmenopausal bleeding.

My specialist practice includes both pelvic floor and general gynaecological procedures. These include – abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy, botulinum toxin injections for overactive bladder, urethral bulking injections for urinary incontinence, sacrospinous fixation and hysteropexy for prolapse, urodynamic testing, vaginal repair and pelvic floor reconstruction. I also perform hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation for heavy menstrual bleeding, laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery including ovarian cyst removal, labial reduction surgery, perineal refashioning, as well as other diagnostic and minor gynaecological procedures.
