Virtual consultations:
I grew up in the local area and trained at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. I specialised in Urology throughout the South East of England, gaining wide experience of all urological conditions and treatments, before undertaking a fellowship in the treatment of kidney stones at Guy's and St Thomas’ Hospital. I have worked as a consultant urologist at Epsom & St Helier Hospitals for over 10 years, developing the kidney stone service and prostate cancer diagnostic pathway.
I have extensive experience and I am able to offer all forms of treatment for urinary stone disease, including holmium laser treatment, shock wave lithotripsy and keyhole surgery for larger kidney stones. Prevention of kidney stones and rapid treatments are important for patients and are an important part of my service. I am one of the highest volume kidney stone surgeons in the UK, pioneering techniques to improve stone clearance and shortening hospital stay.
I offer rapid diagnostic assessment for suspected urological cancers with assessment within 24 hours and completion of tests within a week. Signs and symptoms investigated include: blood in the urine, loin pain or swelling, elevated PSA or suspected prostate cancer and testicular tumours.
I have a keen interest and vast experience in the use of lasers for treating urological conditions such as kidney stones and the prostate enlargement.
