I offer private complex hip surgery, knee surgery and general trauma surgery in our clean and comfortable private hospitals - Spire Hartswood Hospital and Spire London East Hospital. I was appointed as a NHS consultant at Barking, Havering and Redbridge Hospital in 2017. I obtained my trauma and orthopaedics training in the North East Thames and London Deanery on the prestigious Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) rotation. I have trained in teaching hospitals like RNOH, the Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Royal London Hospital.
I am a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with special interest in computer navigated total hip replacement, computer navigated total knee replacement and computer navigated partial knee replacement. I use computer navigated surgery, which increases the accuracy of hip and knee replacement surgery further to improve the longevity of the artificial joint. My expertise in the computer navigation technology improves the functional outcome of my hip and knee replacement patients. I routinely also offer knee arthroscopy (keyhole) surgery, knee meniscal repairs, PRP injections and knee cartilage reconstruction surgery.
Till date, I have been involved in over 3000 elective and trauma procedures. I have performed more than 1000 hip and knee replacements. I have performed more than 500 knee arthroscopic procedures. I was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) by the GMC in October 2016. I am Fellowship trained. My UK fellowships were the prestigious RNOH, Stanmore lower limb arthroplasty fellowship. Armed with evidence of innovation in the form of computed assisted lower limb arthroplasty to aid provision of best outcomes for my arthroplasty patients, I completed my fellowship at The Golden Jubilee Hospital, Glasgow in computer navigation assisted hip and knee arthroplasty fellowship. To further my experience I completed a travelling fellowship in Germany in Rummelsberg in the reputed unit of Professor Wagner with experience in anterior approach hip arthroplasty. I have clinical and academic links with the unit.
My current roles as a trainer are: Annual faculty in Trauma and Essential Surgical Skills Course at Queens Hospital, Romford. Annual faculty in Essential orthopaedics for primary care at Queens Hospital, Romford. Annual faculty in computer navigation assisted hip and knee arthroplasty cadaveric teaching session on the MCH Orth course in Dundee. Faculty on Manual and Navigated Total Knee Replacement - Principles and surgical techniques at Queens Hospital, Romford.
I have obtained advanced training in complex hip and knee surgery during my national and international fellowships. Further to my mandatory qualifications of MRCS, FRCSEd (Tr & Orth), I have completed my MSc (Tr &Orth) from the University College of London. I have also completed a formal diploma in computer assisted orthopaedic surgery.

I live in our family home with my wife and two young children. My 12 year old daughter and I regularly compete for the best time to solve a Rubik’s cube. My eight year old son teaches me new moves from his street dance lessons. All of us enjoy playing badminton over the weekends.
I believe in having a good work-life balance. I use my time away from work with my family and pursue my hobbies in music, travel, cricket and badminton.
I am the captain of a badminton team at Woodlea Badminton club, Chelmsford. We have won the tournament this season at the Chelmsford district badminton federation Men’s 4 and Division 4 league.
I am also a founding member of a non-profit organisation called the We Foundation which raises money with charity work for local and national causes. We organised a Valentines Day charity ball in February 2019 and raised £1200 for cancer research UK.Back to top
