I specialise in weight loss surgery, laparoscopic surgery (gallbladder, hiatus hernia and abdominal hernia surgery) and endoscopy procedures.

I have carried out greater than 3,000 laparoscopic surgeries and around 10,000 weight loss procedures including complex revision operations. I am one of the very few competent surgeons carrying out endoscopic weight loss procedures. I publish my results on the National Registry (NBSR) and proud to mention I have very low complication and zero mortality rate.

I have been a consultant upper gastrointestinal and bariatric surgeon for the past five years at Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Trust. I have been working as a Deputy Medical Director in addition to holding a busy consultant post. I am passionate about patient safety and health services.

I also enjoy teaching and training and take pride in contributing to developing future surgeons and doctors. I am a national faculty member of Advanced Life Trauma Support Course and Critically Ill Surgical Patient Care courses. I teach laparoscopic skills to future surgeons in my day-to-day work and formally at Surgical Skills Centre, St Mary’s Hospital. I am the Higher Surgical Trainee Lead at Ashford & St Peter's Hospitals NHS Trust.
