Specialises in
I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon treating a range of urological conditions. This includes diagnostic tests for conditions affecting the kidneys, bladder, prostate and genitals. I have specialist expertise in the management of kidney stones and kidney cancers.
I have performed countless prostate operations and operations for bladder tumours. As a specialist in kidney stones I see over 50 patients a month. Having mentored my colleagues in keyhole kidney surgery, I have performed over 300 kidney operations, the outcomes of which are available on the BAUS website.
I also offer treatments and services including endoscopic kidney stone treatment, orchidectomy, biopsy of penile lesions, referrals for chemotherapy, testicular screening, and Transurethral resection of bladder tumour (TURBT).
Having developed the renal laparoscopy service in Southend, I became Clinical Lead for urology and more recently, Clinical Director for surgery. I am Chairman of the Essex Urology Group and have a keen interest in training as well as management.
I welcome appropriate patients wishing to refer and pay for treatment themselves without the need for a GP letter of referral.
