I have experience in benign Upper GI Surgery, bariatric surgery and resectional surgery for oesophago-gastric cancers.

I offer a number of treatments for bariatric surgery, including gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy and gastric banding. I treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease and offer anti-reflux surgery. I perform laparoscopic surgery for primary and recurrent hernias and laparoscopic surgery for gallstones. I also perform upper GI surgery. I am the only surgeon in the Midlands to perform LINX surgery for gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD).

I am a consultant bariatric and Upper GI Surgeon, in the Upper GI Unit at Heart of England, NHS Foundation Trust, Birmingham. After completing my CCT in General Surgery, I undertook a national fellowship in bariatric surgery at the Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton which is one of the premier bariatric centres in the UK.

I have published over 35 manuscripts with 24 first author publications and I have co-authored several book chapters.

I have been invited as a faculty member to numerous international bariatric conferences. I have also been awarded one international and numerous national prizes for clinical research.
