Virtual consultations:
I provide private orthopaedic care at Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital, with a focus on conditions affecting the hip, knee and forefoot, offering modern, evidence‑based surgical treatment tailored to my patients’ individual needs.
I completed my specialist orthopaedic training on the Welsh rotation and received my Certificate of Completion of Training in 2009. I then undertook two advanced fellowships that play a key role in my current practice. My first was at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Canada, where I gained broad experience in hip and knee replacement surgery and adult reconstructive orthopaedics. This was followed by the DePuy Arthroplasty Fellowship in Leeds under Mr Martin Stone, further developing my expertise in contemporary joint replacement techniques.
In my clinical practice, I regularly perform hip replacement surgery, knee replacement, knee arthroscopy and knee reconstruction procedures, as well as hip revision surgery when required. I also treat forefoot conditions and undertake osteotomy procedures to improve joint alignment and function. My special clinical interests include hip and knee arthroplasty, arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, forefoot surgery and osteotomy.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Rajesh Ramaswamy at Spire include:
