My training has been extensive in orthopaedic surgery, with a special emphasis on the reconstruction of hand and upper limb. This enables me to treat and manage sports injuries of the joints arthroscopically. I have trained extensively in the USA and UK, especially on upper limb (shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand).

My special interests are in hand and upper limb (shoulder, elbow and wrist) surgery and joint replacements, nerve injury and associated reconstructive surgery, rheumatoid joint reconstruction and children's hand surgery.

I perform most of my procedures and repairs arthroscopically. This allows a more cosmetically appealing result and fast recovery. I regularly perform shoulder joint replacements for arthritis, both primary and reverse. Frozen shoulder treatments have been very successful with arthroscopic release.

I am one of a few consultants performing elbow arthroscopies for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Elbow joint replacements are carried out for rheumatoid arthritis. I am also one of the few consultants performing wrist arthroscopies for ligament and arthritic problems, which have seen good results. I regularly treat wrist fractures.

I do multiple joint arthroplasty for rheumatoid arthritis. Ligament and tendon problems are addressed through various day case procedures. I provide a comprehensive upper limb service for arthritic problems, sports injuries and trauma using the latest available techniques.
