I am an experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist, specialising in cataract surgery and general ophthalmology. From 2007 – 2010, I trained at Moorfields Eye Hospital. During this time I was a fellow for two years and for the third year I worked as a Consultant in Cataract and Acute Ophthalmology. Following this, I was then a Consultant at Bristol Eye Hospital until November 2017.
I have completed over 10,000 cataract surgeries and enjoy teaching the juniors how to be an efficient, safe cataract surgeon.
I have recently completed the Ulster University Cataract and Refractive Surgery Course, PgDip. The course takes around nine months to study and complete, from October 2018 - June 2019. It includes over 30 hours of fully narrated lectures, discussions and testing forums and self assessment tests. The programme of the course has been designed in collaboration with The Royal College of Ophthalmologist to give the candidates a great depth in the refractive field including the premium lens of cataract surgery. I passed the course with a Distinction.
