I was trained in trauma and orthopaedics at Oxford and London. My main interests are in upper limb surgery, sports medicine, joint replacement, knee and foot and ankle surgery.

I am a specialist in shoulder and elbow surgery and am proficient in arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery for various shoulder and elbow problems including rotator cuff repair and shoulder stabilisation.

I am particularly interested in keyhole surgery of the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle. I have considerable experience in joint replacement surgery including shoulder and elbow joint replacements. I have been involved in extensive research involving prosthetic loosening.

I have the following additional qualifications: Diploma in Sports Medicine and I have completed a Fellowship in Upper limb surgery.
