I perform laparoscopic (keyhole) weight loss surgery, including sleeve gastrectomy, and laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, Mini gastric bypass, Gastric band placement and fill, revisional weight loss surgery helping patients achieve long-term health and wellbeing. My expertise includes treatment for abdominal wall and groin hernias, gallbladder removal using modern, minimally invasive techniques. Management of heartburn and reflux symptoms through both surgical and non-surgical options.

I have a special interest in managing oesophageal and gastric cancers and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver expert diagnosis and surgical treatment. I also provide prompt assessment and surgery for acute appendicitis and other surgical conditions which result in acute abdominal pain. In addition, I perform camera tests (Upper GI Endoscopy) and investigations for stomach and oesophagus conditions, minor surgical procedures of pilonidal sinus, lipomas, sebaceous cyst, and ingrown toenails.

I believe in providing high-quality, evidence-based clinical care tailored to each patient’s needs. Since my appointment as a Consultant Surgeon at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust in 2006, I have led the Upper GI cancer service for the region and served as an Honorary Clinical Tutor for Hull and York Medical School.

My surgical training began at a University Teaching Hospital in North India and continued through the UK surgical training programme in the Yorkshire region. Today, I take pride in working alongside specialist colleagues to manage complex and challenging cases, ensuring the best possible outcomes for every patient.
