I am a spinal surgeon based in Manchester, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal conditions, including neck and lower back pain and sciatica. I understand how debilitating these issues can be, and I focus on providing clear advice and tailored treatment plans to help you feel more comfortable and regain your quality of life.
I qualified in 1998 from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. I went on to complete my orthopaedic higher surgical training in Wales, followed by an accredited spinal fellowship at University Hospital Wales. This training has provided me with a strong foundation in both general orthopaedics and specialist spinal care.
I have a keen interest in ongoing learning and development. To further deepen my knowledge of spinal conditions and treatments, I am currently completing the European Spine Diploma course.
My clinical practice covers a wide range of spinal procedures and conditions. I regularly treat patients with neck pain, lower back pain and sciatica, and I have particular experience in procedures such as anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, anterior lumbar fusion, lumbar discectomy and lumbar decompression. I also perform minimally invasive spinal surgery, as well as posterior lumbar fusion and posterior cervical decompression. In addition, I have an interest in managing osteoporosis as it relates to spinal health.
I am actively involved in teaching and training the next generation of surgeons. I am responsible for teaching higher surgical trainees in trauma and spinal disorders, and I also work as a faculty member and lecturer on courses focused on advanced spinal surgical techniques.
Alongside my clinical and teaching work, I have published a number of research papers and presented at national and international conferences, reflecting my commitment to staying at the forefront of spinal surgery and care.
