Mr Peter Deutsch

I graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2012 and completed my specialist training in Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Head & Neck Surgery within the West Midlands. I was awarded the Royal Society of Medicine Gold Medal for my performance in the UK FRCS ORL-HNS final examination.

Following my training, I undertook a highly competitive international fellowship in advanced Head & Neck and Skull Base Surgery in Brisbane, Australia. This provided extensive experience in complex head and neck cancer surgery, reconstructive procedures and advanced sinus surgery.

I was appointed as a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust in 2024. My practice covers a wide range of ear, nose and throat conditions, with a particular specialist interest in head and neck surgery, including thyroid, parathyroid and salivary gland disorders. I am a high-volume surgeon in thyroid, parathyroid and salivary gland surgery.

I currently serve as Head & Neck Cancer and Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Lead at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and contribute to the regional expert advisory group for head and neck and thyroid cancers. I work closely with specialist multidisciplinary teams to provide evidence-based, personalised care, with a strong focus on clear communication and shared decision-making.

Alongside my clinical practice, I am actively involved in research, audit and quality improvement projects. I contribute to academic writing and peer review for medical journals and play an active role in the training and supervision of resident doctors within the NHS. My aim is to provide high-quality, patient-centred care while remaining at the forefront of developments in ENT and head and neck surgery.
