Hip and knee joint replacement surgery, knee arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction.
Mr Gillespie qualified from University College Dublin Medical School in 1993 and trained in orthopaedics in Leeds. Further Fellowship training was undertaken in lower limb arthroplasty and arthroscopy in Australia and pelvic and acetabular reconstruction in St. George’s Hospital, London.
He was appointed a Consultant to St George’s Hospital in April 2010. His interests include hip and knee joint replacement surgery, knee arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction, pelvic, acetabular and general trauma.
Mr Gillespie is involved in the education and training of undergraduate medical students and postgraduate orthopaedic trainees, and is actively involved in research.
