I am a high volume laparoscopic colorectal surgeon focused on reducing perioperative complications and helping patients make the right decision for their treatment and improve their outcome. I offer keyhole and open surgery for colorectal cancer and other benign colorectal problems like diverticulosis, inflammatory bowel disease. I perform laser surgery for haemorrhoids (also HALO) and anal fistula, apart from other standard treatments for various ano-rectal conditions including fissures and warts.

I perform open and keyhole abdominal and groin hernia surgery. I have pioneered a novel surgical technique (laparoscopic anterior and posterior components separation) for complex-major multi-recurrent large and giant abdominal wall hernia repair, to reduce post-operative complications and recurrence rates. I am the only surgeon in the south of England currently offering this technique with excellent outcomes. I also perform diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy /flexible sigmoidoscopy including colonic stenting.

Apart from my own practise in general and colorectal surgery, I regularly perform joint surgery with gynaecologists for complex gynaecological conditions such as advanced endometriosis and difficult hysterectomies.

I have been the lead for Clinical Governance for Colorectal Surgery at the Luton and Dunstable University Hospital since 2017 and acted as Chair of Surgical Clinical Governance.

I am a keen educator and regularly train and teach higher surgical trainees at the University College of London.
