My practice involves dealing with general urological problems such as blood in the urine, andrology, urinary tract infections, reconstructive urology, urinary symptoms in men and women (urgency, frequency, urgency and stress incontinence). I also have specialist expertise in male factor infertility. I perform surgical sperm retrieval and microsurgical vasectomy reversal.
In addition, I perform urodynamic tests and treat patients with bladder Botox for urgency and incontinence. I treat male patients with urinary flow problems, and perform trans-urethral resection of prostate (TURP). I perform a variety of general urological procedures such as circumcision, hydrocele repair, cystoscopy. I treat male factor infertility, lower urinary tract symptoms, diagnosis and management of neuropathic bladder, erectile dysfunction, urethral stricture disease, and Peyronie’s disease (penile curvature).
I completed my specialty training in urology in the West of Scotland region and after a visiting fellowship at University California Davis Medical School, I was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff for where I worked for 10 years. My current NHS practice is at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.
I have a busy urological practice but I like to spend as much time as possible with my family and friends. I also have a keen interest in music and sports and used to play accordion.
