As a Paediatric Surgeon, operating on children, I aim to perform any procedure using the least invasive method possible. This benefits the child with faster recovery, minimum post-operative pain and minimal scarring.
I have been practising in this specialty, firstly as a trainee and later as consultant, for nearly 16 years. I see patients with a variety of pathology and will always explain the condition in a way that all parents will understand.
In my NHS practice I deal with new-born babies born with conditions that require surgery and also treat children up to the age of 18 with surgical problems. I am the designated Breast Surgeon for children in Leicester.
