I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with broad experience in general orthopaedics, specialising in upper limb trauma and elective surgery. I have a particular interest in rheumatoid upper limb conditions and accept referrals for a wide range of upper limb problems affecting the shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist, including joint replacement.
My clinical practice covers common and complex conditions, with expertise in procedures such as carpal tunnel release, Dupuytren’s contracture treatment, ganglion removal and trigger finger release. I also perform advanced shoulder surgery, including rotator cuff repair, shoulder arthroscopy, shoulder stabilisation and shoulder replacement. In addition, I manage a range of musculoskeletal conditions including frozen shoulder, shoulder impingement, tendon injuries, elbow bursitis and tendonitis, tennis and golfer’s elbow, wrist disorders, and joint degeneration requiring arthroscopy or replacement.
I have been a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust since 2004. I qualified in India, obtaining my MS in Orthopaedics in 1991, before completing Specialist Registrar training in the Northwest and Yorkshire, with my final year based in Hull. I further developed my subspecialist expertise during an Upper Limb Fellowship at Wrightington Hospital.
