I have been a Consultant ENT Surgeon for more than 22 years, specialising in ear, nose and sinus diseases and paediatric ENT conditions. I perform a full range of treatments for hearing and balance disorders, including a multidisciplinary balance clinic, and specialist surgery on the ear and sinuses, plus a broad range of children's conditions including glue ear, infections, neck lumps and adenotonsillar issues.

Ear infections often require micro-suction and hearing tests, which are available in all my clinics. A few patients require eardrum or mastoid operations, which can range from grommets to eardrum and ossicular reconstruction, or stapes surgery - the vast majority as day cases - and chronic ear disease is my major speciality.

Nose and sinus conditions are again usually treated with medications but may require septoplasty or FESS procedures including polyp removal. I am confident in extended procedures involving the sphenoid and frontal sinuses.

I assess lots of dizzy patients and perform frequent Epley manoeuvres for BPPV, working closely with our Hearing and Balance Therapist Alison Flower for rehab treatments.

I have been performing ENT surgery since 1984, plus significant experience in Plastics, and Neurosurgery. I have carried out more than 3,000 tonsils, adenoid and grommet operations, over 1,500 intermediate to major nose and sinus procedures and well over 1,000 intermediate and major reconstructive eardrum, mastoid and ossicular procedures including stapedotomy.

My NHS practice is 50% children so lots of ear, nose and neck problems plus tonsil and adenoid issues - I have a weekly operating list for these.
