I am a consultant upper gastrointestinal (GI) and bariatric surgeon. In my private practice I specialise in general surgery, obesity and metabolic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, esophagogastric cancer surgery, biliary (gallstone) surgery, anti-reflux (hiatus hernia) surgery and hernia surgery.
I began my training in London before moving to the south west and then finally to Dorset and Hampshire for my specialist higher surgical training.
During this time I spent two and half years in South Africa working in trauma and General Surgery units and completed my Masters in Surgical Science at Imperial College in London. Following a Fellowship in bariatric and metabolic surgery at University College Hospital London, I was appointed as an NHS consultant at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth.

Personal profile
I live in Hampshire with my wife and children who keep me on my toes. I enjoy paddling my surfski in the sea, gardening, and cycling when my daughters and son allow it.
