Professional profile
I underwent my basic medical training at St Mary's Hospital Medical School, London and qualified in 2000. After completing Basic Surgical Training in London I moved to Oxford and spent six years on the Oxford Orthopaedic Specialist Registrar training programme where I developed an interest in adult knee surgery and children’s orthopaedics. In 2009 I completed my specialist training with a fellowship based at The Children’s hospital Westmead in Sydney, Australia.
I was made a substantive NHS consultant at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in November 2011. I'm currently the Departmental Orthopaedic Tutor, I have been involved in teaching as well as research throughout my career. I am faculty on a number of specialist courses and have previously presented research work at international meetings. I have also written the famous FRCS Viva book on Trauma and Orthopaedics published by Oxford University Press.

Personal Profile
My background is sport, sport and more sport. I am a keen golfer and continue to play to a decent level. Currently, however, my energy is focused on Ultrarunning with a plan to tackle the 100km ‘Race to the Stones’ in July 2019. I am raising money for The Royal Berkshire Charity to help build a new Children’s Surgical Outpatients Department. I am also known to enjoy a game of Rugby and often head to Cardiff as a proud supporter of the Welsh Rugby Team.
