I am a Consultant Sports Knee, Hip and Knee Joint Replacement Surgeon with over 15 years of experience, based at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, where I lead both the soft tissue knee service and the Knee Research Unit. I specialise in managing complex sports injuries and joint conditions. I work in a Major trauma centre receiving patients from other hospitals with complex trauma and knee ailments.

I specialise in treating a wide range of knee conditions, including ligament reconstruction (ACL and multiligament injuries), meniscal repair, cartilage restoration, patella stabilisation, osteotomy for deformity correction, and partial and total knee replacement.

I also perform total hip replacements using advanced computerised planning to optimise precision and recovery.

As a paediatric knee surgeon, I am experienced in managing knee injuries in children and adolescents, ensuring age-appropriate and specialist care.

My surgical practice is complemented by close collaboration with physiotherapists to provide holistic, patient-centred rehabilitation and long-term outcomes.

I attended the University of Leeds School of Medicine and subsequently gained entry into the prestigious run through Orthopaedic training rotation at the School of Surgery in Yorkshire. I have completed five advanced fellowships at renowned institutions, such as the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital and the Orthopaedic Institute in Bournemouth. I hold a diploma in FIFA Football Medicine, giving me a deep understanding of the demands placed on both professional athletes and recreational weekend warriors.

My goal is to return patients safely and confidently to sport or active lifestyles. I have a particular interest in technological innovation, including augmented reality-assisted surgery, and I focus on selecting the most advanced techniques and implants to deliver the best outcomes for my patients.
