Mr Navjot Bhangoo

Orthopaedic Consultant

MBChB MSc FRCS

Specialises in

  • Total knee replacement
  • Partial knee replacement
  • ACL reconstruction
  • Arthroscopy
  • Cartilage surgery

I have extensive experience in all areas of knee surgery which is complemented by a specialist knowledge in sports knee injuries and joint preservation procedures. I have expertise in procedures such as ACL reconstruction, partial knee replacements and total knee replacements attained through specialised training.

I was also granted prestigious travelling fellowships, including time in the USA with Freddie Fu, the founding father of sports knee surgery and time spent with Professor Jean-Noel Argenson in France, an international authority on partial knee replacements. To complement this further I completed a Sports Knee fellowship at the Royal Derby Hospital with Guido Geutjens.

I have spent a year researching and understanding stem-cell technology at University College London and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.

While working as a Consultant at the Royal Derby Hospital I have helped introduce newer techniques in to the field, including personalised computer aided osteotomy, and I am currently looking into ground-breaking techniques behind cartilage regeneration.
