I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in shoulder and elbow surgery with particular interest in arthroscopy, sports injury, shoulder and elbow replacement and management of fractures. I have been a Consultant since 2015. I provide private clinical care and my NHS practice is based at Tameside NHS Foundation Trust.
I completed a Masters degree in trauma and orthopedics after obtaining my medical degree in India. I successfully completed basic and higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedics in Wales.
I completed a six month fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery from the Sheffield Shoulder and Elbow unit, and was subsequently selected for a six month international fellowship in upper extremity reconstruction and sports surgery at the University of Manitoba, Canada. I was awarded the BOA travelling fellowship to visit Centre Albert Trillat, Hospital de la Croix-Rousse, Lyon France.
I also completed a Master of Science degree in Orthopaedic Engineering at Cardiff University. I continued my research interest during my career and have authored and presented numerous papers in national and international orthopaedic meetings. I have also initiated and completed many service evaluation projects and audits during my career. I have over 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and have also written book chapters in various orthopaedic textbooks. I am also a reviewer for orthopaedic journals.
I have kept myself up to date to maintain my expertise and good clinical practice. I am been heavily involved in teaching and training junior doctors. I am passionate about my work and ensure that patients always receive exceptionally high quality of care.
