I am a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgeon with many years of experience at consultant level, providing care for both adults and children. At Spire Washington Hospital, I see children for consultations and offer assessment and treatment for a wide range of ENT conditions.
I work closely with colleagues from other specialties as part of The Snoring Centre, where we provide both surgical and non-surgical treatments for snoring and sleep-related breathing problems. This collaborative approach allows patients to receive comprehensive care tailored to their individual needs.
Paediatric ENT is a particular area of interest for me, and I am the Clinical Lead for paediatric ENT within my NHS practice. I also have sub-specialist interests in rhinology, which focuses on conditions affecting the nose and sinuses, including rhinoplasty, as well as snoring and sleep-disordered breathing.
I trained at Oxford University and completed my higher surgical training in ENT within the Northern Deanery before being appointed as an ENT Consultant at City Hospitals Sunderland in 2004.
Alongside my clinical work, I have a strong interest in patient safety and clinical governance, and I am the ENT Clinical Governance Lead within my NHS practice.
