I am consultant orthopaedic surgeon offering hip surgery, knee surgery and general orthopaedic surgery. I have extensive experience in total joint replacement and reconstruction, and specialise in complex hip and knee replacement, bone preservation and revision procedures.
I have been a consultant orthopaedic surgeon since 2000 and my private practice encompasses various aspects of hip and knee surgery. As well as treating degenerative disorders, I offer treatment for knee injuries including meniscal repair, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and patellofemoral instability/mal-tracking. I also perform general foot and ankle operations, dealing with corrective bunion surgery, Morton's neuroma, mid foot and hind foot arthritis, painful heel and post-traumatic pain and deformities.
I take great care to ensure that the referring GP or therapist is kept abreast of the status of each patient from diagnosis through treatment and recovery.
I received my higher surgical training in four different regions of the UK, working with world renowned surgeons at various university teaching hospitals: The Royal Infirmary and Princess Margaret Rose University Teaching Hospitals in Edinburgh, Newcastle General and Freeman University Teaching Hospitals in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital in Liverpool, The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham.
