I am a Senior Consultant Eye Surgeon from Bristol Eye Hospital. I consult privately in Bristol, Bath, Swindon and Wales. I am often fondly called 'Mr Magic' by many of my patients and with good reason.
I am a renowned expert in cataract surgery and also advanced vision correction surgery. I have extensive experience with all of the latest lenses including Premium Multifocal and Toric Lenses as well as the more traditional monofocal lenses. I also offer Implantable CL surgery for patients of all ages looking to remove the need for glasses and contact lenses. My complication rate is amongst the best in the country at 0% on the National Eye Surgeons Audit database.
As well as my skills in cataract and vision correction, I am also a renowned expert in retinal detachment and macular surgery, medical retina, uveitis and eyelid surgery, having passed Advanced Senior Fellowships in all of these disciplines.
I am regularly referred to patients from all over the south west of England and Wales due to my expertise in managing complex surgical problems. I also see patients from overseas by special request. I have operated on other eye surgeons and their families, which is a testament to my skill and composure as a surgeon.
Due to my extensive training background, I have also been in a position to personally supervise the training of over 50 Senior Trainee Surgeons from Countries as far and wide as USA, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Germany, Spain, South America, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Syria, Pakistan, India and more.
