I specialise in general and colorectal surgery, with a specific interest in minimally invasive (keyhole) treatments for bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and hernias. I also perform endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy (bowel cancer screening programme) and regularly treat patients with perianal conditions such as piles (including THD/HALO/Rafaelo) and skin tags, anal fissure, anal fistula and pilonidal sinus.
I have been a consultant colorectal and general surgeon since 2010. My sub-specialist interest is minimally invasive treatment for bowel cancer and inflammatory bowel disease as well as bowel cancer screening.
In addition to my clinical work, I am the general surgery lead for undergraduate surgical education at the University of Leicester. I am also a local lead investigator for a number of national clinical trials. Outside the UK, I am involved in an endoscopy training programme in Ghana.
