Mr Michael Katsimihas

I practice as a Consultant Spine Surgeon at North Bristol NHS trust at Southmead.

I qualified from Liverpool Medical School and completed my orthopaedic and spine surgery training in Bristol and London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital London Ontario, Canada where I obtained a certificate of completion of spine fellowship awarded by the University of Western Ontario. I have also got a Masters in Orthopaedic Engineering at the University of Cardiff. 

My special interests are in degenerative spinal conditions of the whole spine including deformity, back pain, trauma, tumours and infections in adults. I also have a clinical interest in spinal surgery for cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine adult disorders including; microdiscectomy and treatment of spinal stenosis (decompression), degenerative scoliosis, disc replacement of the cervical spine, revision spine surgery, trauma and tumour infection of the whole spine, surgery for back pain, kyphoplasty, spinal fusion for spondylolisthesis.
